Pacifc Care are a specialist care home provider, creating premium private care facilities around the Glasgow area.
Birdston Care Home had commissioned Earth Angels to refurbish the grounds that were first constructed 20 years ago, when the home was built.

Each resident room was re-constructed to allow direct access via their own patio doors to either the internal courtyard or a paved area on the outside of the building.

The brief from the client was to redesign the 3 internal courtyards, and add new individual patios, to allow the residents to have access from their rooms via their patio doors to their own garden. Around 800 tons of old paving and soil were removed from site, to allow the preparation for the new gardens and paved areas.

The 3 courtyards, had a different style. Courtyard 1 is traditional. Courtyard 2 is Japanese. Courtyard 3 is Contemporary. Each courtyard was carefully designed to create a beautiful view from each room. the soft flow of water from the water features, filled with fish, creates a calming and tranquil area the deep railway sleeper planters were filled with a wide variety of trees, plants and shrubs.

We used similar elements in each garden :Saxon Buff paving, railway sleepers, artificial grass, and Tier panelling.
