My client had recently asked me to upgrade their mature garden with some new, more interesting shrubs and flowers

Some of the shrubs had grown too large for the spaces they occupied, or were past their best.

We cleared the beds of all the large shrubs, and prepared the beds for new plants and shrubs including Hydrangea arborescent Annabelle, Hydrangea Quercifolia, Prunus mojo Mai, Morus Nigra Pendula, Cornus Controversia Variegated, Euonymus Blondie, Acer disscetum Crimson Queen, skimmia, evergreen dwarf azalea and dwarf rhododendrons.

A new mix of low growing herbaceous plants were added such as Brunnera, Agapanthus, digitalis verbascum, huchera, euphorbia, campanula, lavender santolina, flox, salvia, delphinium and convolvuleus ensured that there would be plenty of interest in the garden throughout the year.

We had to do some remedial works on the existing patio areas that had been laid incorrectly by a previous contractor. The rusty slate random layout paving was moving and all the pointing had cracked, therefore we lifted the entire patio areas and prepared the ground and re-laid the entire area, adding a finishing touch of an edge of sawn granite setts, which the client is now very happy with and is now confident that the paving will last for many years to come.

He has instructed Earth Angels Landscapes to provide additional natural granite cobbled driveway sections to each of his driveways.

This project is still ongoing.
